Road to Space: Art Print

The Space Race was a Cold War competition between the USA and USSR for dominance in spaceflight capability.
The Soviets had an early lead with the launch of the first human satellite into space (Sputnik 1) and the first human (Yuri Gagarin), and the race peaked in 1969 when the USA landed the first humans on the moon with the Apollo 11 mission.
